About Finding Space

P.J. Wolfe wrote Finding Space for American sports fans learning to watch soccer. As the book’s preface explains, playing and refereeing as a teenager supplied a knowledge of the rules; returning as a spectator brought new questions about tactics and movement.

This companion helps readers revisit those questions through scripted animations, match examples, and links to current viewing information. The animations isolate selected movements. They do not predict results or model every player’s choices.

The book and this site are independent educational resources, not official publications of a league, club, or governing body.
